About CardChart.Fun
CardChart.Fun started as a way to learn by building something I genuinely wanted to exist. I love Magic, I love brewing, and I wanted a site that captured the feeling side of the game instead of only the database side. What began as a ranking idea has grown into a space for votes, debates, charts, profiles, collecting goals, and brewing identity.
The project is shaped by deck obsession, years of thinking about games, and a lot of time spent asking what makes players light up around certain cards. I wanted a place where a pet card, a commander project, a hot take, or a wishlist discovery could all live in the same ecosystem.
If the site feels like it is trying to turn ranking into a more social, more personal, and more collectible experience, that is exactly the goal.

The spark
I kept seeing conversations around salt, power, and optimization, and I wanted to build a place that asked a different question: what cards do people actually enjoy? CardChart.Fun started as an answer to that gap. The first big idea was not just ranking cards, but ranking the feeling of cards through head-to-head decisions and real player reactions.
Why it kept growing
Once the vote arena existed, it became obvious the site needed more than rankings. Players wanted debates, charts, deck identity, profiles, wishlists, collection goals, and a way to keep favorite discoveries alive after a matchup ended. That is how CardChart.Fun turned into a broader Magic playground instead of staying a single-feature experiment.
Why the name matters
The site lives on `.fun` on purpose. I wanted the mission to be visible before anyone clicked a second page: this is a place for taste, debates, discovery, brewing, and collecting energy, not just cold reference data. If the site feels playful and opinionated, that is intentional.
What the site is today
Head-to-head voting is still the center of the site. It feeds the live card pools, personal progress, charts, and the social arguments that happen around specific matchups.
Debates, replies, reactions, and notifications give the rankings a human layer. A card is more interesting when you can see not only where it lands, but why people defend it or push back on it.
Wishlist, Collection, Booster Packs, Progress, and My Commanders are there to turn a passing card opinion into a longer-term hobby trail. The site should help you remember what you love and what you want to build next.

CardChart.Fun is a solo-dev project by Ekolimits. That means it moves with a lot of heart, a lot of iteration, and a real willingness to keep refining rough edges until the site feels worth sharing.
